Chinese Wildlife expert attempting to make world's most expensive tea from panda poo

After water, tea is the most widely consumed beverage in the world, as it rejuvenates the mind and acts as a therapeutic drink. In America on an average 154 million people drink tea on daily basis. In a recent discovery, a wildlife expert from China An Yanshi has created an unusual tea made form Panda excretion, which is the world’s most expensive tea as it hopes to sell for $69,000 per pound.

The maker of the tea, who is also a professor at Sichuan University in Chengdu, believes that its rich aroma will draw attention of true tea connoisseurs. It is also said that tea from panda poo also have medical benefits and act as cure for ailments like cancer.

An Yanshi commented, “Pandas have a very poor digestive system and only absorb about 30 percent of everything they eat. That means their excrement is rich in fibers and nutrients. Just like green tea, bamboo contains an element that can prevent cancer, and enhance green tea's anti cancer effects, if it is used as fertilizer for the tea."

This tea is expected to sell even more than the world’s most expensive tea Zhu Ye Qing. The creator is also aiming for a Guinness World Record as he has already collected nearly five tones of panda poo for the manufacturing of this beverage.
Kopi Luwak

Although it is the first tea to be prepared from an animal excretion, but the world’s most expensive coffee already holds a similar record. Kopi Luwak coffee is made from the excretion of civet, which is a cat like creature that eats the best of the sweet red coffee cherries harvest. Most of the caffeine is detached and results in a smooth coffee bean, which comes out with the dung and costs around $600 a pound.
