Getting married in McDonald's!

In Malaysia, we usually hold our weddings in restaurants, hotels, gardens, multiple utility halls or throwing a feast at home (the Malays call it kenduri). How about having it in McDonald’s? For Malaysians, McDonald’s is a place where we have our fast food while chilling out with friends or families. In Hong Kong, McDonald’s has been seen as a trend where couples hold their weddings in the Golden Arches restaurant.
Hong Kong’s McDonald’s will become “the first city in the world to roll out McDonald’s nuptial packages for couples,” as of January 1, 2011. This is the only city in the world where the American restaurant chain offers the service, prompted by frequent inquiries about fast-food weddings from customers in recent years. Now, three McDonald's locations are equipped to stage marital festivities in the style of any 6-year-old's model birthday.

So what do you get with a McDonald’s wedding? Well, bride and groom get to cut a cake made out of a tower of McDonald’s apple pies; celebrants get to order off the tried-and-true McDonald’s menu; and guests receive party favors in the form of Happy Meal toys. The bride and her attendants can even opt for wedding dresses made out of McDonald’s party balloons.
Are you interested to get married in McDonald’s here in Malaysia? Or you still prefer the conventional way?
